Moscow Finnish kindergarten is a private, homelike small daycare place. The kindergarten makes familiar Finnish cultural traditions and teaches children adjusting to an international society. Our main intention is to develop children's social and motor coordination capabilities. The activities of the kindergarten contribute to the forming of positive identity by aid of the individual and homely care.
In the kindergarten we have two jointly responsible teachers and variable amount of children, proximately 15 of them. Children are at age of 2-6 years, either Finnish or Finnish-Russian speaking. Native Finnish speaking stuff maintains development of the children's language and teaches practical Finnish language to bilingual children.
We have cozy and renewed rooms. They present for children and staff an inspiring environment, increase the nursery's functionality and wealth on play. The kindergarten is located in close connection to the Moscow Finnish school. In the same building with us there are an Italian, Swedish and Japanese school and nursery.
The kindergarten practices a weekly program divided into special subject days. We are intended to give children during the activity term various experiences through movement, nature hiking to parks, visiting to vegetable market, theatre, museum and different kinds of excursions. Children have an opportunity to get acquainted with the Finnish feast traditions, for instance by baking and cooking traditional Finnish festival delicacies
The high quality is the trump card of a private kindergarten. The quality level is kept up high with many different ways, the most important of which are qualified personnel, long-term planning, interaction with parents and collecting feedbacks.
It's important to us that parents want to leave their children in our care. By open discussions we try to take notice of wishes of the children and their parents ascending to the kindergarten regime. We exchange feelings with parents also when kids are daily brought and picked up.
During each of the term it shall be organized a parents-teacher meeting aiming to give a change to discuss about questions important for children and actual for the age. Besides, the parents have a possibility to order a time for a personal discussion about the development of their child.
